Beekeeping for Beginners

Are you interested in beekeeping, but have never done it before?

Have you started raising honey bees and want to learn more?

Join Brian Peterson, from Bees in the D, as he shares his passion about the education and conservation of the all-important pollinator, the Honey Bee. He will share his journey into the world of beekeeping, explaining common misconceptions, and the fascinating life of the Honey Bee and hardships like pests and diseases.

Workshop participants will learn the basics of beekeeping, have the opportunity to visit active hives and collect and taste the honey.

Join us to find out what all the buzz is about with beekeeping!

This is an all day course. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Cost $90.
If desired, for an additional $10 participants can earn SCECHs (clock hours) for attending the workshop.
