Interested in becoming a beekeeper?

Brian Peterson, founder of Bees in the D, will guide you through the basics of beekeeping. You will learn about Honey Bees, different hive designs, placement and set up of hives, beekeeping equipment, and proper hive maintenance. 

Join Brian Peterson from Bees in the D as he shares his passion for education about and conservation of the all-important pollinator, the honey bee. He will share his journey into the world of beekeeping, explaining common misconceptions and the fascinating life of the honey bee. Workshop participants will learn the basics of beekeeping and tools needed, and will have the opportunity to visit active hives to collect and taste the honey. Join us to find out what all the buzz is about with beekeeping!

Fee: $80. Includes lunch.

Preregistration is required. Limited to 15 participants.
