Bees In The D is proud to partner with Girl Scouts of Southeast Michigan to bring a unique opportunity for Girl Scouts to earn a Bees In The D beekeeping PATCH!
To earn the Bees in the D Honeybee patch, Girl Scouts will need to complete a three part process. They need to discover, connect, and take action.
In the "Discover" stage Girl Scouts will be required to attend a pollinator or honeybee themed presentation where they will learn many facts about pollinators and honeybees.
In the “Connect" stage Girl Scouts will connect with the experts at Bees in the D or another bee organization to attend a honeybee hive tour where they will learn about honeybee hives and their structure.
In the "Take Action" stage Girl Scouts will be asked to make impacts that help honeybees and pollinators
Visit our events page or click on the upcoming beekeeping events button below for any events marked with the “Girl Scouts beekeeping patch event” to count as the “Connect” portion of the patch!
