Catherine "Caty" Alice Gittner
November 24, 1978 – May 28, 2025
Caty Gittner was a passionate special education teacher, a devoted wife and mother, and a kind friend to all who knew her.
In addition to her dedication in the classroom, Caty was a supporter of Bees in the D and generously gave her time as a volunteer, helping to advance our mission of pollinator education and conservation. Her compassion extended far beyond her work, touching the lives of countless students, families, and members of our community.
Even in passing, Caty’s selfless organ donation through the Gift of Life program exemplified her enduring spirit of giving.
She will be deeply missed, but her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the pollinators she helped protect. Donations made in her honor will continue the work she cared so deeply about.
