Category: Outdoor

Level: Ambassadors, Seniors, Volunteers, Juniors, Brownies, Daisies, Cadettes

Description

Have you ever wondered what it is like to put on a beekeeper suit and learn how to take care of an active beehive? Come on out and join us at the hives with Bees in the D to learn about bee conservation in the city!

Join Brian Peterson from Bees in the D as he shares his passion about the education and conservation of the all- important pollinator, the honey bee. He will share his journey into the world of beekeeping, explaining common misconceptions, and the fascinating life of the honey bee. Workshop participants will learn the basics of beekeeping and tools needed, and will have the opportunity to visit active hives to collect and taste the honey. Join us to find out what all the buzz is about with beekeeping!

We’ll be running five of these tours in 2023. Space is limited, so “bee” sure to sign up quickly!
