International Mead Day: A Global Honey & Mead Pairing Experience

Join Bees in the D and B. Nektar Meadery for an unforgettable celebration of International Mead Day, where the world’s oldest fermented beverage meets some of the world’s most extraordinary honeys.

This exclusive tasting experience takes guests on a journey across continents through honey and mead. Discover the remarkable diversity of honey terroir as you sample rare and exceptional honeys sourced from around the globe, each showcasing the unique flowers, climates, and ecosystems that shape their flavor. From delicate floral notes to rich caramelized complexity, you’ll experience how honey can vary as dramatically as fine wine.

Each honey will be thoughtfully paired with award-winning meads from B. Nektar Meadery, one of the world’s most respected mead producers and a pioneer in modern mead making. Founded on National Mead Day and recognized for bringing innovative craftsmanship to this ancient beverage, B. Nektar continues to redefine what mead can be. (Sober)

Guests will enjoy guided tastings led by Bees in the D Honey Sommeliers, learning how honey origin influences flavor, aroma, texture, and pairing possibilities. Along the way, you’ll discover the fascinating connection between pollinators, agriculture, and the centuries-old tradition of mead making.

Featured highlights include:

• Rare international honeys from multiple countries and floral sources
• Curated mead pairings from B. Nektar’s world-class portfolio
• Expert tasting notes and sensory education

More than a tasting, this is a celebration of bees, biodiversity, craftsmanship, and culture. Every ticket supports Bees in the D’s mission to protect pollinators, expand urban beekeeping, and educate communities about the critical role bees play in our food system.

Raise a glass to the bees, the beekeepers, and the ancient art of mead. Experience the flavors of the world—one honey and one mead at a time.

Food truck eats available.
