Buzz and flutter about Marshbank Park to learn about the importance of our pollinators and what you can do to help these critters that are so important to our ecosystem.
Numerous hands-on activity stations will include:
Beeswax molding art
Sweep netting to look for our native pollinators
Presentations by Bees in the D (bring a blanket to sit on)
10:15-10:45 am Life of a Honeybee: Become a member of a Honey Bee hive and learn the different responsibilities and roles of a Honey Bee’s short life.
11:15-11:45a Life of a Beekeeper: In this presentation you will learn supplies and basics beekeepers use.
Bees in the D will have local honey available for purchase (while supplies last)
North Oakland Wild Ones will have a kids craft & seedling plant giveaways (while supplies last).
Monarch tagging and more!
