Welcome to Detroit: The Home of NSBE's 45th Annual Convention

Greetings,

On behalf of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), I formally invite you to join us at our 45th Annual Convention, at the Cobo Center, Detroit, Mich., in NSBE’s “Mother Region” (Region IV), March 27–31, 2019.

This year’s theme is “NSBE 45: Explore. Engineer. Elevate.” Our plan is to engage our members and guests as well as the surrounding communities of Detroit. The convention activities are designed to enhance participants’ knowledge to enable them to master academia, lead the revolution, explore inner creativity and solve the challenges of industry. We will send frequent communications using a variety of media to ensure our members and others are up to date on all aspects of the convention.

Detroit is the historic center of the U.S. automobile industry and the birthplace of “the Motown Sound.” Today, it is America’s “Comeback City,” becoming a major hub for budding small businesses while attracting major corporations and talent from across the globe.

The Convention Planning Committee is hard at work developing an experience that will change your life. We hope you will join our other attendees in taking advantage of all the convention activities. Whether you are participating in the various competitions, attending the different workshops, or listening to the inspirational speakers, our goal is to make sure you leave with enhanced skills, empowered to reach any goal.

Welcome home!

Fo’ Solid,
Alanna Tremble
