Join us for a riverfront sunrise yoga session on the Cobo Center Grand River View Ballroom Terrace, overlooking the Detroit River May 23, 2018 at 7 a.m. Cobo Center and Society of Freshwater Science are partnering to kick-off the 2018 #cobocares community engagement series. All proceeds from registration will benefit Bees in the D, a local honeybee education and protection non-profit. Please bring your own yoga mat, water bottle and good vibes.
Event-day registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. and the 1-hour session will begin at 7:00 a.m. Lauren of Citizen Yoga will be instructing an all-levels Slow Burn/ Basics session lasting 60 minutes. Parking is available for $15/ car on the Cobo roof. Cobo Center is also home to a MoGo and Detroit People Mover Station, so ride, drive or walk on over to join us for this event.
We highly encourage donations of $10 or more. This event is open to the public.

Citizen Yoga is dedicated to providing students with the most comprehensive yoga experience, challenging for all physical levels. CY is an alignment-based (form focused) yoga studio that offers a variety of classes ranging from a faster paced Vinyasa to a Slow Burn/Basics. Currently, Citizen Yoga has studios in Royal Oak, Detroit and Bloomfield Hills. Bees in the D is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to create a cooperative effort between residents, schools, organizations, and businesses in the city of Detroit and Southeast Michigan to contribute to both the health of honey bee colonies and the education of their importance to our environment. As a sustainability initiative, Cobo Center is home to 4 honey bee hives, managed by Bees in the D.
