Oakland University’s School of Education & Human Services is pleased to announce the Beekeeping for Beginners workshop to be held at Oakland University in Rochester, MI on TWednesday, August 23rd, 2017. Participants can earn SCECHs for attending the workshop.

Are you interested in beekeeping, but have never done it before? Have you started raising honey bees and want to learn more? Join Brian Peterson, from Bees in the D, as he shares his passion about the education and conservation of the all-important pollinator, the Honey Bee. He will share his journey into the world of beekeeping, explaining common misconceptions, and the fascinating life of the Honey Bee. He will also share the importance of the Honey Bee.

Workshop participants will learn the basics of beekeeping, have the opportunity to visit active hives and collect and taste the honey. Join us to find out what all the buzz is about with beekeeping!
